Diamond ring Stolen, see the video
The man went to the Ross-Simons
jewelry store at the mall Wednesday at about 8 p.m. and asked a clerk to
show him a diamond ring that was on display. When she gave him the ring, he
immediately turned and ran from the store, police said.
The ring is a 6.6-carat diamond ring valued at $79,995. It features three
stones, including a large, square yellow diamond center stone at 4.93 carats,
with two smaller, triangular shaped diamonds.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned black man, mid- to late-20s,
about 5 feet 8 or 9 inches tall, with a muscular build, a thin mustache, dark
eyes and "very clean cut."
The man also had a tattoo on his inner left forearm. It appears to have been
two words that formed a V pattern, police said.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call 508-647-9500.
