NEW YORK -- A New York taxi driver returned a bag
containing 31 cool diamond rings to a passenger who left him a 30 cent tip.
After he remembered that the black bag in his trunk belonged to the woman
who gave him the small gratuity for an $11 fare, he tracked her down with a
flurry of phone calls.
Chowdhury Osman told the New York Daily News he never considered keeping the
cool diamonds because he wouldn't take someone else's money to make himself
rich.
He did take a $100 reward to cover the fares he lost while tracking the
passenger down.
The passenger hasn't been identified.
The rings were worth more than $30,000.
